The Conditions of Revival (Part 1)
As the title implies, do we really believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour? Do we really believe that the Bible is God's sovereign Word that comes from His mouth - that it is flawless and true, the Truth of Life? Do we really believe in His promises? That He will rain down blessings on us if we would but follow Him?
If so, then what are we doing beating around the Bush of Life!? Forgive the rhetoric, but should not we be striving for Christ and the furtherance of His Kingdom instead of worrying about exams and what-not? Matthew 6:33 says "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you." Therefore, how is it we can say, "Exams are coming, can't make it for youth?" How are we to expect His blessings then, when we push Him away?
Is God really at the center of our lives? If your answer is yes, is your life - your actions - showing that to be true? Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for: to make them worth it.
How shall we respond?
This is very true, I have to say that the past week has been an absolute unexplainable phenomenon. And I don't mean what happened during the days. During the days I went to work, sleep, play about. But it is the time at night that I spend with God that has really stuck me in awe. Chapters of the Bible I have read over 20 times suddenly fly in my face with its true and heavy meaning. I urge you all brothers and sisters to break out of your daily habits. Dedicate your time to God. It is definitely worth it in the end. It would make you think that the life you had left was like nothing compared to the life with God.
