The Conditions of Revival (Part 1)

As the title implies, do we really believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour? Do we really believe that the Bible is God's sovereign Word that comes from His mouth - that it is flawless and true, the Truth of Life? Do we really believe in His promises? That He will rain down blessings on us if we would but follow Him?

If so, then what are we doing beating around the Bush of Life!? Forgive the rhetoric, but should not we be striving for Christ and the furtherance of His Kingdom instead of worrying about exams and what-not? Matthew 6:33 says "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you." Therefore, how is it we can say, "Exams are coming, can't make it for youth?" How are we to expect His blessings then, when we push Him away?

Is God really at the center of our lives? If your answer is yes, is your life - your actions - showing that to be true? Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for: to make them worth it.

Malaysia church torched amid Allah row

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - A church in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur was firebombed early on Friday, gutting the first storey of the building in a residential area, amid a row over the use of the word "Allah" for the Christian God.

"It is confirmed that Desa Melawati church was burnt, at about 12.25 am in the morning. There were no fatalities. We are investigating the incident and suspect foul play," said Kuala Lumpur Chief Police Officer Mohammad Sabtu Osman.

A court ruling last week allowing Catholic newpaper The Herald to use "Allah" for the Christian God has been appealed by the government of the mainly Muslim nation of 28 million people.

The issue has threatened relations between the majority Malay Muslim population and the minority ethnic Chinese and Indian populations who practise a range of religions including Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Malaysian Muslims, who account for around 60 percent of the population, are set to protest on Friday against the ruling.

The church that was burned on Friday was part of a group called "The Assembly of God".

Many churches in Malaysia are situated in residential or retail areas and often occupy a small lot.

According to 2007 statistics, there are 333 Assembly of God churches in Malaysia.

"There are witness reports two persons on a motorbike came near the entrance and hurled in something looking like a petrol bomb. Our church is 90 percent gutted (on the first floor)," said church spokesman Kevin Ang from the Metro Tabernacle Assembly of God.

It is illegal for non-Muslims to proselytise to Muslims although freedom of worship for the mainly Buddhist, Christian and Hindu religious minorities who make up 40 percent of the population is guaranteed under the country's constitution.

The use of "Allah" has been common among non-English speaking Malaysian Christians in the Borneo island states of Sabah and Sarawak for decades and without any incident.

Yesterday, as I was doing my 2000 word assignment, in a crazy rush, while listening to music, or more specifically, History Makers, I was just touched by the lyrics yet again... "...when people pray... kings and queens will shake." It's true. That's what hit me.

It. Is. True.

Cloudless skies will break. Kings and queens will shake.

What's left, the only missing piece - for everything else is already set - is us. We are that missing piece. Do you understand?

When will the time come when the youth, SAY in particular, sees that it is not themselves anymore that matters. Not exams that counts, nor relationships, nor personal struggles or materialism; when shall the blind eyes see, the deaf ears hear, dead hearts waken? When will it be that SAY rises to take their place as CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD? Prince and Princesses? I, Ashriel Brian Tang, long for that day... crave for that day, thirst for it.

I want to see Your glory fall; see Your glory rise.

Do you all not see? I desire to have you all want God, know God, more than anything else. I pray that whatever breaks God's heart, breaks mine; whatever makes Him joyful, makes me joyful; whatever He desires, that I may too desire. And this is what I want: SAY to rise up. CCM Youth will be holding The Malaysian National Christian Youth Leaders' Assembly 2009 entitled "The Challenge of Our Generation:A Call to Urgent Action - Putting Justice At the Heart of Faith" from Dec 11-14, 2009 at Wesley Methodist Church, Jalan Hang Jebat, Kuala Lumpur.

CCM Youth is fully committed to supporting the full and meaningful participation and empowerment of Christian youth, seeking to bring together prominent Christian youth leaders active in church, community and nation building, with youth policy and program makers at the national level. Speakers include a wide spectrum of the leading Christian leaders of this nation - including politicians, civil servants, NGOs and Church leaders of the country addressing you!

We hope to create a springboard that will allow youth leaders to learn, share experiences, ideas and aspirations, and to implement action plans to bring Christian values to the community and national life of Malaysia in efforts to build the kingdom of God and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ.

Youth Alpha 2 and Plan 09

It's now the 3rd lesson of Youth alpha revisited, why did Jesus die? Have to admit that the fellowship hall is not the best place to do Alpha. It's just too spacious. People won't pay attention and so on. That aside, have to say that its going well so far.

PLAN 09

Yeah, we were supposed to share a testimony today about what we learned at plan 09 but we forgot, wooops. So while it is still fresh in my mind, I will spill out the feedback here:

Plan 09 was basically a missions conference to talk about missions, what it is, what we can do. It's all about missions. It was held in Melaka 20-23 September.

When I was asked to go, I had a certain mindset about what missions was. I read a couple of very exciting and inspiring missionary books and heard about missions from BAT (Brian Ashriel Tang).

From my point of view, missions was all about living a rough life and preaching the gospel to people or to contribute in distributing bibles, help build houses and stuff for orang asli. All those kinds of things.

I went to plan 09 not knowing that it was about missions so it was a shock for me. I thought it was all about a big plan or project for youths to go all out on changing Malaysian youths and communities or something.

There were lots of inspiring and shocking testimonies which challenged my faith when I heard them. It was also really reassuring as well of what a mighty God we have.

Then came all the key points in missions like how there are 800 000 000 people in China who have not heard the gospel and all other countries in the 10/40 window which "refer to those regions of the eastern hemisphere located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator who has least access to the Christian message and Christian resources on the planet" - Wikipedia~

And a easy prayer guide called THUMB which stands for the main people groups who have not heard the gospel or have limited access to it.

After hearing all these things my perception for missions really changed and I could start to see how we are all involved in this big and important movement. It's also challenging to go into missions because 80% who go into missions actually drop out so it is definitely not some easy thing in which everyone can just go in and do. Mission takes commitment and full faith in the Lord.
It also helped me to realize that God could be calling me for a certain country. Still need to confirm with lots of prayer, so I'm not sure which ministry I have a calling for...

There was also a MYPG (Malaysian Youth Prayer Gathering) night where we all gathered and prayed. It was probably the deepest prayer I have every prayed, it was all about praying for forgiveness for everything we have done. Not submitting to our authorities, our parents, our teachers. And all sorts of other things, we had to really kneel and pray. At that time I had a really bad cold or something, and the kneeling and bowing our heads was a great challenge for me. And I had a cold only on that night. It really shows how when people try to change themselves sincerely, all sorts of trouble come our way to stop us in every way, in the form of distractions, hindrances, mentality, any thing we can think of. In my case it was the bad cold. But still I endured till the end and at that end as I was walking back I really felt great. Like some sort of weight has been lifted off or something. It felt that I had a resistance against all temptaions that would come my way.

So all in all it was a great experience and , we ate chicken rice balls again hahaha.

The Start

Well, the blog has been quite inactive for a while. Looks like a couple of new stuff are being added onto the blog, such as links to St Andrews and a map as well.

This blog is mainly for sharing, we have not been sharing meaning nothing has been happening meaning we are lazy. Yes it is the truth for some of us, we might or might not learn at our lessons. We go home and might or might not do anything about it. This continues and by the end of the year nothing changes.

I would really hate to see that nothing has really happened in my life in a year. Wouldn't that continue into life as well? Yes, we all grow older but do we grow spiritually? To be honest, no. Meaning, we get a spiritual spark from time to time, sometimes lasting a month, sometimes a week or even a day or a few minutes. Why is that? It's something I definitely do not understand. God is there and he always will be, but will we? What can we say when we die and stand in front of God and he asks us what we did with our lives? I was 15 and now I am 18, you would think that when we are older we would get more significant things done in our spiritual lives right? But that is not true, even if we age, it is meaningless if our spirit is still an infant. Childish, self centered, immature. I feel that I have not archived anything. Even after I dedicated my self to God, I dedicate my self again, and again and again. Why can't it just be once?!

Where do I even start when I dedicate my life for him. I don't feel any different. Why isn't anything happening?

Well I suddenly came up with this on the spot but starting today, it will be a spiritual journey with him, everything I do will be for him. So basically, I am re declaring my life to him again but this time for real since the evidence is right here on the blog. I know for sure that something great will happen, no kidding.

I know this is like a spark but I realized that a spark starts a fire, if you don't feed the fire, it will just die. Big or small, fires that are not fed will die. So keep encouraging one another and feed the spark by reading the scriptures, praying and all kinds of stuff you can think of.

So it's 9pm and I feel great. The youth will rise up and grasp revival. But it has to start with each one of us.

It has to start now.

Simple prayer:
God, please hit me over the head when I get lazy to feed the fire...
Amen.

So get praying!

Jesus, always says these three important things in the bible:

1. believe in him, faith in god (:
2.repent our sins
3.love, when we share the gospel to people, we learn to love them.

we have been saved! now it's our job to save the others out there.
and it's just so great.
let's be the light and salt in this world.

i am most inspired by michael jackson and mother teresa, as they were famous for using their talent and helping the nation.

Michael jackson, he is a blessing from god. (remember everyone on this earth is a blessing from god). Jackson wrote songs that moved people. the lyrics expressed the world being in darkness, with darkness there are no good things. poverty, war exsist. trying to help god's work, bless those who huger and thirst for righteousness, blessed the poor. He changed the world.
Heal the world is a good example. listen to the words.

Mother Teresa,was famed as a humanitarian and advocate for the poor and helpless. she left her mother, even though her mum was sick she trusted god to take care of her, she got a call from god, for her to go on missions, help sick children. she operated 610 missions in 123 countries,including hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis, soup kitchens, children's and family counselling programs, orphanages, and schools.

what do you want to do or be when you grow up?

i see that some people have started fast-ing. such as Chrisanne.
fast-ing doesn't mean not eating, but giving up something you love for a while.
not give up completely, but stop for a while. this shows your love for god. for him you would stop. the people in the world we idolize is ourselves. love ourselves. but love god first.
God comes first, the rest comes in later.

we shouldn't be afraid to fail sometimes. God will still be proud of you.
God your amazing, your mighty, your great.

i was asked to share my testimony on here (:
from omega night.

My name is Natalie Tan Jia Yan; I am 14 years old.

My life in the past is something I’m not very fond of. I was born into a non-Christian family. I didn’t know anything about Jesus.

I was 6 when I received a birthday present from an aunty and uncle; it was a book about Jesus and the time he was born and what extraordinary things he did for people. I had many people telling me short stories about Jesus. I was touched to hear and read about a person who could save us, Jesus the hero. From then on, I started to pray. But I believed it half heartedly as I had doubts about the stories I Read in books.

My life was filled with negativity and affected everything; school, friends and life. At such a young age I was controlled by the temptations and I led a depressing life.

It was one day when my eldest brother, Douglas told me about God. He told me all the wonderful things Jesus did for us, and that he is the reason why we are here. Since then I followed my brother to church multiple times and went to a few Sunday schools, until he went overseas to study. It was then I had stopped going to church. A few years later, my brother was 17 when he got baptized in uncle CJ and Aunty Irene’s house. From that moment I was inspired by him and wanted to be a Christian. I was 9 years old and still had a lot to learn. I believed that praying would be enough; I was too young to understand the meaning of baptism and Christianity. Even though I prayed I still lacked faith in god, growing up I forgot about god sometimes, and would only pray if I had a problem.

My first youth alpha class, I learned about faith. I found it amazing how I say I have faith but in the end I didn't believe anything. I accepted God. One of the lessons got me keen to read the bible it was like an excuse. I only read the bible searching for answers. But now I read the bible every day, every chance I get. As I read I feel secure, I feel this sense of freedom. By reading his words I am no longer lost, instead I’m guided.

Youth alpha has changed my perspective of life and most importantly it changed who I am. Youth alpha is my other family. A family that’s just so full of life and well connected. I’ve built a closer relationship with god and with that he has led me through the journey of life.

now I live through my life knowing that I’m not alone, god hasn’t forsaken me, he’s been lifting me.

I live everyday in happiness and joy. I focus more on the good in people and I build my confidence with faith.

I have witnessed a miracle done by god.

God has fought for me’ with a mighty hand and outstretched arms his love endures forever’

Together with his unconditional love, he is faithful, he is strong, and he is forever with us.

Let us praise him, give thanks to the lord for he is good his love endures forever.

let god handle all you troubles, let it be him you turn too whenever. God loved us first, with it he wants us to live a righteous life. although we are not perfect like him, we can only try. at the end of the day you know what you did and God is proud of you.

praying will get you closer to god, because by talking to him it's a relationship between father,spirit,son. recently I've been having problems, but god helped me through. From the Bible I can tell, God is Great,Mighty also he is true. we have to be the salt and light in this world, we have a purpose.

I am a sinner, I'm not ashamed I confess knowing God is there to forgive me.

don't give up faith or hope, turn to God he's the only person who wont lie to you, or ignore you, but instead he will listen, he will do what he thinks is best, he will bless you. the people in your lives are a blessing. faith comes a long way. it can get you anywhere. his loves us unconditionally, he sent his son Christ Jesus, down to earth, to save us. with his blood our sins are cleansed.

ask and you will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open to you.

Sermon on the Mount

So, looks like I am back after my break, physically and spiritually. Just seeing everyone again in one accord got me into high spirit.

Stuffy, hot and crowded was our room today as there were 28 of us in that tiny room. Anymore and we will have to think of creating an overflow outside our door.

Today's topic was on Matthew 5: The sermon on the mount.

Pastor preached on this topic around 2 months ago, I have to say that this is my favorite part of the bible as I have read it over and over again to try to commit the whole thing to memory when I was in Japan since I was there for almost half a year and did not have access to a church. All I had was a few books. One was by Bill Gothard and the whole book was all about the sermon on the mount. By the time I finished my stay in Japan, I had memorised the whole of chapter 5 and was starting on 6. It was something about isolation and the lack of disturbances that brought me really close to God during that 6 months. I always recited what I memorised on the way home when I went out. Back in Malaysia, it all got really noisy and busy. I was really upset since I have now forgotten chapter 5.

We also discussed about how 'fit' we were and what our greatest challenge will be. According to the bible our greatest challenge is the sermon on the mount Matthew Chapter 5 to 7. I had read this through many times but it is difficult to understand what it really means. I was flipping through the bible after seeing a verse - Acts 8:26-40, which was when Phillip was sent to meet a man who was travelling from Ethiopia. This man was a treasurer of a queen in Ethiopia, he was reading the book of Isaiah which described of Jesus, so Phillip was sent to meet the man and to teach him who Jesus is.

This was familiar and makes sense since we all need help understanding the bible. God also goes through great measures to save even that one person, so our prayers for friends and families goes a great way.

After discussing about the first 6 verses of Matthew chapter 5. I came to realise that these few days might actually be God's way of bending me towards him.

The 1st teaching was about those who are poor in spirit. At first we were all puzzling over what that meant but it was about humbling one's self and to acknowledge that we were all sinners and do not deserve anything. The second was about those who mourn.

Personally I felt that these 2 were really important for me at that moment, and for me to realise it.

The discussion also led me to see how God has transformed us in ways that cannot be explained. I am usually very oblivious to my surroundings, but today, the change was so noticeable that even I could see it. How great is our Lord...

I also feel like a hypocript as I say all these things but rarely put it in effect in my own life, so I just want to say that this is just my feelings that I want to share, like a testimony, so yea...

What can I say? (please read this from start to finish ;) )

Omega Night was just jam-packed with awesomeness to say the least. Every part of it was God-breathed. Though surely there were many faults with many things, I know for a fact that still God's so proud of us that we did our best, and we did it all for Him.

Allow me to take this opportunity to say, honor God and He will honor you. Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and everything will go just fine: your exams, relationships, no matter what, if you out God first, things will just fall into place..

Look how much Jesus loves you; see to what extent that Love went. Does He not deserve everything of you and from you? Surrender yourselves to Him, but know it will NOT be without fun! And so, make every possible change in your lives to do right in His eyes, to let go of your past sins and all...

Because Jesus deserves your everything...

The rest is all your choice as to what to do next. Our lives is are dictated not by anything other than CHOICE. The choice to do right, or not.

It truly is a blessing - no, more than a blessing - to be able to know each and everyone of you. I have truly seen God's family in us. And just so everyone here knows, before Youth Alpha, the Youth Fellowship was teetering on the edge of just crumbling. So few were our numbers, and yet, so great was His love that grew the Youth till what it is now.

Be commited, everyone, and continue to come, being a part of God's family. And know too, the time for new leaders to arise has come. Each and everyone of you are leaders, and soon, you all will stand, and stand for God. The time will come when each of us will be persecuted for our faith, and the time will come when we must lead God's army of Christians. Yes, you. You who are reading this right now. Rise up, men and women of God, and live holy lives set apart for God :) You'll never regret it :)

All of you were just exceptional in just every possible way. All of you ought to be proud of yourselves for pulling Omega Night off, but above all, give glory to the One who made this all possible by LOVING US: Jesus Christ our God.

Emotional/Emoism

There is a trend going on where people around us want to show others that they are being emotional or "emo". I'm not too sure what it means but every day we show our emotionless faces to the people around us. I also feel that I outwardly show my depression a lot recently.

We all wonder, "What is God's will for me?"

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 provides 3 answers. God's will is that every Christian live a life of joy, prayer and thankfulness at all times.

Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

A cheerful, joy-filled heart is good medicine to us (Proverbs 17:22) and a blessing to others.

I am trying hard to apply this to my life but there are times where we all feel moody. So continuous prayer helps us focus on God's purpose for us and to help us wait for his divine intervention.

God's people

Last Saturday we had the second last lesson of our Youth Alpha course, This week will be the last lesson. Quite a few of the Youths decided to stop coming after the course is over, it is absolutely their choice to make. Just like Jesus said to his disciples “Come, follow me,”, Jesus made it easy for us to say no, for he did not come into the world and scare or intimidate people to follow him. They followed him out of pure curiosity when his disciples to be asked him where he was staying, he merely said “Come and see”. It was also an invitation for his disciples and disciples to come to see the awesomeness of our mighty Lord. Jesus made it very easy to say no because he does not want half hearted followers. For instance this Youth Alpha course is merely a storing vat for Christians, just like how John the baptist prepared the people of Israel for the coming of our Lord, so too does these bible study lessons prepare us, ready for disciples to be chosen. It is upsetting to know that many Youth's choose their own ways and are ready to say no to our Saviour. We all say we are Christians but in reality we are just a shadow of our true potential. Only with God can we achieve not only God's purpose but our personal goals as well. I recently found this verse that describes exactly what we are:

“for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:

'Wake up, O sleeper,
Rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you'”

Ephesians 5:14

For some reason this verse stood very clearly to me, this is also the reason why we read the bible. What works for us may not necessarily work for others as I have found out when I decided to share this verse with a couple of friends. It also shows that God speaks to each of us in ways that only each of us can understand and it is always very precise and clear. This verse is from a passage telling the Ephesian people to live as children of light. Even though darkness surrounds us and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, always remember that light is greater than the darkness, have you ever seen such great a darkness that covers up a small weak flickering light? No! Darkness has no power over light. Most of us will understand that the darkness represents our fallen and corrupt world, there are anti-Christians, murders and unspeakable crimes. However, we must remember that these people are not our enemies we have to understand that the real enemy is Satan. Moses was furious at the Pharaoh of Egypt when he refused to let the people go. I can almost imagine how angry and frustrated Moses must have been when the Pharaoh just says no without even considering what Moses said. But Moses had a righteous anger. The Pharaoh was not the enemy. I know I keep getting side tracked but once I start I am unable to stop, as Brian once told me that we do not have to worry about how we pray or talk to others about Christ, the Holy spirit is or facilitator and will guide you somehow to talk, it feels like you are talking but in truth, the often unnoticed holy spirit guides us through our lives and helps us to understand passages form the bible and how it applies to each of us. Some times, and it has happened many times, people or yourself may feel the urge to share a verse or something with someone else. Even through conversations, that is also one of the many ways that God speaks to us. People often think that when people say God has told me this or God has told me that. It is very easy for us to imagine God in his booming loud voice telling us what to do. It may happen, no doubt but the most convenient way definitely through the bible. Just hope that got you thinking. : )

When is the last time you ever rode on a bike?
As growing youths, we rarely have time to go to the park, what more riding a bike?
...

It all happened one fine day when Kim and Brian appeared at Ryunosuke's house. It was late in the night and we were wondering whether to go out to eat, the Kim was feeling lazy and Brian had something important to do. So we delayed and delayed till it was later than late. ha ha. It so happened that Ryunosuke thought it was a good idea to use the bike at the front of the house. Then we found out that there air in the tires, now late had become latest(opposite of Brian's middle name, faster-but Kim disagrees with his middle name and all the betweens). ryunosuke quickly pumped up the air. Ryunosuke rode his BMX and Brian rode on the bike that got hit by a car and Kim rode a pink bike with a basket. Brian went out of his mind and rambled something about dying with the wind on his face. Then as we neared the guard house Brian got scolded by the guard because he didn't go left.

At long last we reached the cafe.

Brian was not in the picture because he cycle all the way to klcc - joking
he had no self confidence to take photo with Kim because he might ruin the picture ( that's what he said). The end.

Anyways we had a great night. We are in church now going to learn Al~fa! (Alpha).

So basically, it was much more than a bike ride and dinner to me. It just shows that as Christian brothers and sisters we can just appear at each others houses at anytime of the day and have a great time together. - Ryu

well, Tifani is here!

finally, for the first time, youth band performed. woottss woootsss.

we were performing in second service. we played 2 songs, Forever and Hosana.

the singers are me (Tifani), Claudine, and Kimberly K.
the guitarists are Brian K and Natalie
the bassist is Chester
the drummer is Terence
the keyboardist is Vharlene
the Violist is David (sunday school)
and Peggy helped us at piano.

it was cool, and fun that finally we could serve the Lord and praise him.

at first, we were very nervous, i was shaking, but pastor and Irene Lim prayed for us and we felt better.

How and Why I Should Tell Others

Just want to thank Tifani for changing the layout for this blog today and also Brian for leading.
Great work guys.

Today was one of those hectic hair pulling out days. It looked like chaos under control. Chrisanne was away so the leaders had to teach. This is more or less what happened...
I was just arranging the bookshelf when I had to go downstairs to greet our new people, well that went well since there was this girl Valentina who was initially scared of coming but I hooked her up with Susan and they soon became friends and Lennard took care of the new kid Keenan. All well so far. Then we knew that one of our leaders Kimberly was going to be a little late who then later called to inform us that she sprained or somehow injured her knee and won't be coming until very late. So me and Brian was a bit edgy since Kimberly was involved in the drama thing that was supposed to start. Luckily we got Xiao Yi to do it and it worked out well but not as well as we were hoping for it to be, small hinderance but we pushed on.
I also forgot to mention that we had no projector so everyone had to look at the tiny screen, there were alot more Youths this week which made things worse.
The lesson itself was good, I think it really got me to think that I haven't been a very good witness for Christ. Will pray about that more now.

Today was more based on skits so we had a skit in the beginning and got the Youths to do the skits. We got them into 5 groups and we also had to give them ideas and guide them for the skit. Kimberly came during that so I had to run around giving ideas and supervise them. It was insane, one group was throwing balls at one another so I confiscated the ball and found out that it was part of the skit.... Great. I expected it to all go down the drain but somehow by God's grace all the groups were productive except Riki's group... Hmmm... I knew Riki for a very long time, but everytime we never talked about the gospel.. I think I have to work on that. Riki has potential I just haven't realised that.

All in all, as the whole evening looked like a recipie for disaster we encouraged one another and just really looked to God to make this all go right. In the end, the groups presented thier skit and we closed in prayer. It was a good evening considering all the things that could have gone wrong. Even the new people enjoyed themselves.. I think.

hey guys.
this is my first time. hehe.

ok well, i just want to share my opinion about youth alpha.

as Kimberly had said, YA really changed my life. i really understand about what am i here for. and those thing. most importantly, i become more understand about Holy Spirit, something that i thought was kind of doing the least thing compare to God and Jesus in trinity, but actually, he is as powerful as the others. well, now i am so happy that i become closer to Him.

now, after YA, i realize that nothing happen in coincidence. now i understand that everything that happen in my life is in purpose. and i can pray and ask God even for a simple thing. i believe that as long as we have faith on Him, and let Him do His work on us, everything will be just fine. like for example this morning, i had a little problem. i was supposed to go with Sandra to saloon. but the problem is, she couldn't send me to church which that means, i have no transport to go for youth and practice. i prayed in my heart and just asked Jesus to lead me and solve this problem to me. i left it all to Him. (well, it seems like a small problem) but after that, Sandra called me and said that she couldnt go today and that's mean i can follow my mom to church. problem solved. well, maybe some people things that this is a coincidence, but it is not. i believe that this is Jesus plan.

i am also very happy coz i have lots of new friends. i'm so happy to have BrianT as a personal adviser (hehe). to have Ryu as a joking partner (well, i always ask u to be my date for a night), to have kimberly L. and fooling around with her. to have Cha and Din my new shopping partner (well, Cha we should go for more girl movies), and Xiao Yi as my sister:). to have Chester as a big brother that i always wish i have one. and other brother and sister... I'm so happy, i never thought i would ever get a friendship like this. this is the best things i ever had in Malaysia, to have a friendship in Christ and support each other to grow in Him.

well, now i leave all my future, plan and everything to Him. my faith in Him, is my survival kit. because i believe that He has prepared the best thing for me and i am on my way to reach there.

Lesson on overcoming evil

On Saturday 28th we had a youth alpha lesson on overcoming evil. It was significant but the most significant part was that it was Youth led. Chrisanne was busy and couldn't come so we had to organize and teach the lesson. Overall, I found that it went really well. The discussions were productive and all the Youths were well behaved that day. I always thought that it would be hard to gain control over energetic youths without adult supervision. Brian led the whole thing really well, I salute him for that. Kimberly also led the skit well too. My chocolate presentation was a bit untidy but at least they understood. There isn't much to talk about in terms of how it went but behind all this is a much greater force.
I still believe that teaching Youths may be difficult and hard to control but God had shown his grace and every one was really into the lesson and really obedient (there was also fewer of us that time). There is also the Kampar trip to thank, some of us think that it had really brought us together and build relationships between brothers and sisters(in Christ). I just want to thank God for that wonderful evening and experience we gained that day. Being a good leader does not involve shouting or harsh words to gain control over the crowd but kindness and authority. People really respect you when you show your determination and faith in the Lord.
It would be great if we got all the Youths to post their thought here so we can all share our thoughts and opinions and testimonies. How God has affected your week or what you learned in Youth Alpha.

Youth weekend away in Kampar was a bomb! Though a quiet and lifeless place, we turned the place into a happening and lively town. The 3 days, 2 nights stay was definitely too short for me. If only the trip could be for a week.

This camp was special to me in a way. I've attended so many church camps ever since I was 7, but never felt the presence of God in my life. As I grow each day, I finally realized that God is trying to put His plans through me. I admit that I never opened the door of my heart to let Him do His work. Now, I feel so much more happier, and I have found my inner peace. So, people out there, the Lord has so many great plans in our life. We only need to trust in Him completely and acknowledge that He is in charge, and sure enough He will lead the way for us.

Youth Alpha really changed my perspective about life - the way I should live my life. In all I do, I vow that I live my life for God alone.

Youth Alpha weekend retreat

Just came back from the Youth Alpha weekend retreat on Sunday.
Overall, I though it was a good experince, and not because of the activities and stuff but the lesson was really helpful as well. Like just yesterday, I just opened up my bible since I haven't been doing so latley and tried reading where I left off at Corinthians Chapter 6. First I just read it like how I would noramally read it then I stopped halfway. I read it again from the start but applying the lesson on how to read the bible, how it applies to me, what it is trying to tell me and stuff. That's when I found that I have just started actually reading the bible. All this time I have been reading the bible and waiting for stuff that pops up (which usually does once in a while). Then I realised how little I have actually read. It's so hard to explain but I was meaning to read one chapter before doing my homework and ended up reading the passage over and over again and still not understand the passage fully. I even compared how the passage looked in another bible and found it to be completely diffrent.

Go to go, have class now.
